Just bought two at Metrotown. You can cancel it in 2 months and the sales waived the $10 for the sim. You pay $5/month for 2 months (10MB data service per month)then cancel it. Therefore, you pay $10 for a $50 BB GC. I don't know what Telus and BB is thinking, this is a pure money giveaway.
update: yes, credit check required and I received 2 $50 GCs. I also visited BB Mobile Shop in Surrey today, they offer the same thing but refused to waive $10 for the sim card.
